Title

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A CONTRACT FOR ALLIED UNIVERSAL SECURITY FOR UNIFORMED ARMED SECURITY SERVICES

Body

Summary and Background

In 2023, via RFP, the City of Commerce City sought a vendor for security services for the Municipal Court and Chambers. Allied Security was the only company to respond to the RFP.  The City currently has a Professional Services Agreement that extends services until February of 2024, and the attached draft contract provides for three (3) possible service extensions for Uniform Security Officers to be at the Civic Center for both Municipal Court Activities and  City Council Meetings. At the request of the Municipal Courts, this extension takes into account the addition of a second security officer on specific days of the weeks to assist with the high work load within the courts.
