Body
Summary and Background Information:
By Request of City Council, Staff has prepared an appropriations ordinance and summary of City’s Manager’s intended funding package to address various MyC3 Program needs, including mowing, weed control, Streets “Hot Shot Crew” implementation, and open space restoration. Staff was directed to detail resource needs to enhance operations and improve service levels to better meet Council’s expectations in these areas toward the end of the 2023 Budget Process. Due to the budget adoption timeline, it was too late to include these items in the Adopted 2023 Budget, however, Staff has since prepared this appropriations ordinance to incorporate additional resources address these areas in the 2023 Budget.
Please see attached 2023 MyC3 Program Appropriations Ordinance No. 2459 Detail document for more information regarding the City’s Manager’s intended funding uses pertaining to this appropriations ordinance.
The total appropriations amount of $1,353,241 will improve existing service levels in these areas and increase Staff’s ability to maintain City properties at more acceptable levels.
