Body

Summary & Background

The Empowerment Apartments at Mile High Greyhound Park is a 50 unit affordable housing development currently being constructed by Delwest. Of the 50 units, 25 are reserved for people enrolled in the Empowerment program and 25 are reserved for VI-SPDAT (Vulnerability Index - Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Prescreen Tool) applicants. The development has been coordinated in conjunction with the Empowerment Program, a Denver-based nonprofit that provides permanent supportive housing to cisgender and transgender women who are in disadvantaged positions due to incarceration, homelessness, poverty, illness, and/or involvement in the criminal justice system.
