Summary and Background Information:
Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. This year's Small Business Week is May 1-7, 2016.
Small businesses are an important component of Commerce City's economy. There are approximately 1,200 businesses within the city and over 80 percent of them have less than 20 employees.
