A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF COMMERCE CITY AND THE ADAMS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE FOR THE PROVISION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL

Adams County shall provide law enforcement administrative records services during the hours of 2200 hours and 0600 hours only, every day of the year, whether it is via telephone, police radios, facsimile, or email. Adams County shall not be obligated to furnish law enforcement administrative tasks outside of the times listed herein.
Assigned employees who are titled Records Specialists shall be responsible for handling administrative support and on behalf of Commerce City during the times listed herein. The administrative support responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following:
- NCIC/ CCIC terminal monitoring
- Hit confirmations
- Warrant, Person(s), Vehicle(s), Property and other entries and clearances as needed
- Impounds and Private Tows
- Notifications

Financial Impact: Commerce City is one of three agencies that have an IGA to receive terminal guard coverage from Adams County Sheriff's Office. Based on the current usage and projected costs for the Records Terminal Guard Coverage, Commerce City is responsible for 39%.
