RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RENEWAL OF MICROSOFT ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE AND USE OF MICROSOFT PRODUCTS, SOFTWARE, AND SERVICES
Body
Summary and Background Information:
The current Microsoft Enterprise Agreement signed in 2017 is set to expire on June 30th, 2020. The Microsoft Enterprise Agreement includes the purchase and use of Microsoft products, software and services including Office365 Email, SharePoint, Skype for Business, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, Windows computer operating system upgrades/patches and Windows Server operating system upgrades/patches.
The proposed renewal agreement would run from July 1st, 2020 to June 30th, 2023 and would allow continued use of Microsoft products for the City. The City Manager has approved a Sole Source Agreement with Insight Public Sector which is the Microsoft reseller the City used in the previous agreements. Microsoft government pricing is the same for all Microsoft resellers so there is no advantage to using another reseller. The cost of this agreement is $186,568.10 per year with a three year cost of $559,704.30.
