Summary and Background Information

The City Council in February of 2024, allocated the remainder of the City’s American Rescue Plan Act funding towards various initiatives, primarily targeting improvements in the Core City under the now ACT Program. Housing and Livability Improvements were identified as a major component of the ACT Program, and $2,500,000.00 was allocated for this category. Code Enforcement Support to help community members resolve code violations through the outline work below. Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design by utilizing strategies like better outdoor lighting, clear sightlines, and secure entry points to deter crime and enhance community safety.

The cost to the City of the Project will exceed $250,000.00 and, pursuant to the City’s procurement policies and the City Manager’s commitment to the City Council, the City Council must approve any procurement in excess of $250,000.00.
