City Council Ward III Applicant Presentations and Appointment

Summary and Background Information:
City Council will allow applicants for the Ward III vacancy to provide five minute verbal presentations. Upon conclusion of the presentations, Council will allow for a thirty minute reception for a public meet and greet with the candidates. Following the reception, Council will conduct voting on applicants. After each round of voting, the applicant(s) with either no or the fewest votes will be eliminated and a new round of voting will begin. Once an applicant reaches five votes, City Council will make a motion to appoint to fill the vacancy. The applicant will then take their oath of office and take their seat at the dais.
City Council may modify the process at any time per Council Policy #CP-21.
If the vacancy is not filled by January 13, 2023, the seat will remain vacant until the November 2023 election and organization meeting of the City Council.
