Title

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A MASTER SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR PLUMBING REPAIR SERVICES FOR CITY BUILDINGS WITH SUNSHINE HOME SERVICES

Body

Summary & Background

The purpose of this resolution is to authorize a Master Services Agreements for maximum procurement authorization for Plumbing repair and maintenance services to Sunshine Home Services not to exceed the amount of $500,000 over (3) years.

In March 2023, per city procurement guidelines, an RFP was issued for Plumbing maintenance and repair. Public Works received (5) five bids, and (3) three contractors were selected based upon their skill level, types of service, history, and price of services.

Managers in Public Works changed, and the original RFP was not set into place.  In March 2024, the top three respondents were contacted, and all were still interested in providing plumbing services to the City and entering into a 2024 Master Services Agreement.

The Plumbing systems throughout the City are critical to keep the buildings from experiencing interrupted service at the various buildings. Performing preventative maintenance and repairs to the plumbing system(s) quickly is critical to keep facilities open and operational. This company has an excellent track record of fast, reliable, quality service.

This contractor has been selected. Sunshine Home Services is qualified to provide high levels of service with competitive/discounted rates for the City.
