Summary and Background Information:
As stewards of our public spaces, the PRG Department is focused on promoting resident health, safety and education through a variety of relevant programs and services for the community. One of our goals is to maintain and improve these public spaces, promoting sustainability and wellness. Adams County agrees to disburse grant funds to the Applicant to provide reimbursement for the payment of project costs upon successful completion of the Project, or on a quarterly basis. Itemized Reimbursement Requests are required for reimbursements. Should the Project take two full years to complete, the Reimbursement Request for the final period of the project must be received by August 9, 2025 to remain compliant with the Project Completion Date, as set forth above. Reimbursements disbursed from Adams County shall not exceed 52% of project costs incurred during the previous period with cumulative reimbursements totaling no more than $260,000 based on a total project cost of $500,000.
The open space restoration referenced in this grant can occur in Ragweed Draw Open Space, First Creek Open Space and/or Second Creek Open Space. Restoration began in the Second Creek corridor in 2019 and staff is seeing success. These funds will help to continue this work in coordination with the My C3 Program which strives to preserve the environment and protect natural habitats.
