The Brighton Road Bridge over the Fulton Ditch is located approximately 300 feet south of the intersection of Brighton Road and East 112th Avenue. The bridge was built in 1941, and during an inspection by CDOT in December 2019, the bridge was rated as structurally deficient. The bridge was rated a 48.5 out of a 100. The bridge girders and abutments are experiencing significant section loss and this project will replace the existing obsolete bridge.
In regards to the bidding process, a request for bids (RFB) was posted on the City’s website and the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System. Four valid bids were received on 28 September. Zak Dirt Inc. was the low bid for the project.
