A previous presentation for this project occurred on January 22, 2024 and covered the findings and visioning for the plan (#24-004.)
This presentation is to present the final draft of the Parks, Recreation, and Golf (PRG) Master Plan.
The consultant, BerryDunn, will present the draft plan, summarizing the process to this point, presenting the summary findings, long-term and short-term action strategies, recommendations, and an action plan.
The full draft plan is included in the packet and has been posted on the city website for public comments. All comments from the public and from City Council will be compiled and any final updates will be made before an ordinance is presented to City Council to adopt the document. If there are no major changes to this draft document, there will not be another presentation to City Council and the ordinance for adoption will be presented at a forthcoming Council business meeting.
The Parks, Recreation and Golf Master Plan includes a 5-year focus on operations, 10-year focus on capital, and 20-year strategic vision. This is the first time the city has incorporated all three divisions (Parks, Recreation and Golf) into one master plan.
