Summary and Background Information:
Oasis Park is a two-acre park located at 17010 E. 95th Avenue. A request for design proposals was released in Q2 of 2022 and a contract was signed in Q4 of 2022 with Galloway & Company Inc. Concepts were created and public input was received via public meetings in December 2022 and March & May 2023.
The new park includes a playground, open grass area, hillside slide, shade structure, plumbed restroom, and sidewalk connections to Second Creek Open Space trail corridor.
A public bid process was completed and Colorado Designscapes Inc. has been chosen as the contractor for the project. The contract is expected to be finalized by the end of April at which time a Notice to Proceed will be issued and the contractor will have 120 days to complete the project.
Current cost estimate is as follows. Not all costs have been finalized.
Design: $160,000
Construction Contract: $1,908,000
Items outside contract (collaborative purchasing, water/sanitary taps, etc.) Approx. $950,000
1% for Public Art - Approx. $20,000
Total: $3,038,000
