Summary & Background
Annually, the City advertises for and awards contracts for pavement management for asphalt streets throughout the City. This year’s pavement management program has been split into multiple contracts based on the type of pavement treatment being provided. The pavement treatment type is primarily based on the condition of the street.
Slurry seal applications are considered a preventative and prevention method to extend the service life of the roadway. The Scope of Work being performed under this contract includes slurry seal in the Belle Creek, Eagle Creek, River Oaks, North Range Village and Foxton Village neighborhoods (see Project Map). The streets with a solid green line on the maps are included in the slurry seal contract.
The City advertised this project for request for bids from March 7, 2024 to March 21, 2024. The City received two (2) bids from contractors. The lowest responsible bidder was A-1 Chipseal Company with a bid of $448,726.97. This contract is for one year with an option to renew up to two (2) additional one (1) year periods depending on the performance of the contractor.
